Calling an ambulance, service area and pricing
How do I call a private ambulance?
You can reach Net Ambulans 24/7, including public holidays, at 0212 912 51 84. Sharing the patient's condition, the pickup and drop-off addresses and your preferred time speeds up planning; same-day transfers can also be arranged, subject to availability. In life-threatening emergencies, we recommend calling 112 first without losing any time.
Do you provide service 24/7?
Yes, you can reach Net Ambulans at 0212 912 51 84 every day of the week, at any hour, including public holidays. Requests are scheduled based on team and vehicle availability. Letting us know in advance makes the process easier for planned transfers and event services. In life-threatening emergencies, however, you should call 112 first.
What is your service area?
From its head office in Merter (Zeytinburnu) and its location in Acıbadem (Üsküdar), Net Ambulans serves all 39 districts of Istanbul on both the European and Asian sides. Transfers to and from Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen can also be arranged. Intercity transfers are planned in advance and carried out across Türkiye, most often to İzmir, Bursa and Antalya. Contact our team for details.
How is the price of a private ambulance determined?
The price of a private ambulance depends on factors such as the transfer distance, the patient's medical condition, the medical support required (for example, whether a ventilator is needed), whether a doctor will be part of the team, waiting time, and the day and time of the service. For an exact price, we recommend sharing the patient's details and the route with our team to get a personalized quote.
Which payment methods are accepted?
For individual and corporate services, payment is accepted in cash, by bank transfer/EFT and by corporate invoice; credit card payments are not accepted. For corporate agreements and event services, invoicing details are clearly shared with you at the quotation stage. For questions about payment and invoicing, you can reach our team at 0212 912 51 84.
Transfer process, team and documents
Which documents are needed for a patient transfer?
For a patient transfer, the patient's ID is usually sufficient. For transfers between hospitals, however, the approval of the physician at the receiving facility (the accepting physician) is required. If available, sharing the hospital's discharge summary or up-to-date medical information makes it easier for the team to prepare, but it is not mandatory. Our team will also inform you during planning.
Is there a doctor in the ambulance?
The ambulance team is determined according to the patient's condition and the type of transfer. A doctor can be added to teams made up of paramedics and emergency medical technicians, on request and as needed. A doctor escort is generally recommended for intensive care transfers or for patients whose condition is unstable. If you mention that you want a doctor when making your request, planning will be done accordingly.
Can a family member accompany the patient in the ambulance?
Yes, one family member (1 person) can accompany the patient in the ambulance during the transfer. The companion sits in the place indicated in the vehicle so as not to restrict the team's space for treating the patient. For intensive care transfers, the seating arrangement is finalized at the planning stage based on the patient's condition. Simply mention that a companion will be coming when you make your request.
Can an intensive care patient be transferred?
Yes. Intensive care and ventilator-dependent patients can be transferred in our ICU-equipped ambulances and, as needed, with a team that includes a doctor. It is important that the decision on whether the transfer is appropriate is made together with the physician managing the patient's treatment. Respiratory support, monitoring and medication needs are planned in advance. You can get detailed information by sharing the patient's current medical information.
How is an intercity patient transfer carried out?
In an intercity patient transfer, the patient's medical condition, the destination healthcare facility and the admission status are clarified first. Then the team, equipment, route and rest-stop plan are determined; the patient is monitored by the medical team throughout the journey. Net Ambulans plans transfers departing from Istanbul across Türkiye; the most frequent destinations are İzmir, Bursa and Antalya.
Do you provide ambulance transfers from the airport to a hospital?
Yes, ambulance transfers can be arranged from Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport to a hospital, or from a home or hospital to these airports. The flight time, the patient's condition and the documents required by the airline are taken into account in advance. The decision on fitness to fly is made by the patient's physician and the airline; our team plans the ground transfer according to that decision.
Ambulance for events
Which events should have an ambulance and medical team on site?
At concerts, festivals, trade fairs, sports competitions, film sets, congresses and similar crowded or high-risk events, having a medical team on site is important for attendee safety and possible legal obligations. Since requirements may vary depending on the type, location and size of the event, we recommend checking the current requirements of the relevant authorities and starting your planning early.
How do I hire an ambulance for an event, and how far in advance should I book?
Simply share the event's date, location, duration, expected number of attendees and type of event with our team; an ambulance and medical team plan is prepared accordingly. Since site surveys, risk assessments and coordination with the relevant authorities take time, we recommend letting us know as early as possible, and several weeks in advance for large events.
